Here's a YouTube playlist of these songs for continuous listening
KINKINA – Jungle Fever [Profile Records, 1982]
Kink by name and kink by nature. This is a classic that first lead me to the idea of making a NSFW mix, which later I decided unless constructed with careful creative direction could have ended up a big moaning mess. At least this way they can be consumed together or separate, depending on your…mood. Alas, I always find it humorous when a piece peppered (or slathered) with ecstatic moans comes on in my headphones. I’ve previously found myself crossing my legs and looking over my shoulder in the sterile surrounds of my office…
Carlos Peron – La Salle Blanche [10.000 Zippers, 1994]
Ex ‘Yello’ band member Carlos Peron really dominates in this track… When someone peers over your shoulder and there is a BDSM sleeve artwork plastered on your second or third monitor, you’d surely assume that your colleague knows that there is some kind of sexy darkwave track featuring whips, domination and cackles in your headphones.
I.B.M – A Music Box Reflection [Crème Organization, 2008]
I.B.M is an alias of Chicago great Hieroglyphic Being aka Jamal Moss. The coming together of his past experience as a gigolo (which got him through college) and industrial inspired tracks led me here. With track names like “How Wet Is Your Box” and “Eat My Fuck” you basically know I.B.M’s whole back catalogue is going to be risky business in the office. Raw industrial electro.
MAN - Erotica [Pye Records, 1969]
Let’s bring it back after that last one. What would a musical journey through sexy songs be without passionately throwing your head back into the 60’s into psychedelic rock? You can basically taste the sexual revolution.
KALYANJI-ANANDJI – Dance Music [Music India Ltd, 1981]
Funky, sensual Bollywood punctuated by a woman’s pleasure on popular ‘Commander’ soundtrack. I was going to delve into some issues around pleasure under the patriarchy but I’ll leave that for over a couple of beers when I’m next in Sydney. I shall however mention that it has been hard to find a track with erotic male vocals – food for thought!
DJ ASSAULT – Sex on The Beach [Jefferson Ave, 2003]
In lieu of an alternate DJ Assault cut that I really wanted to share here which I unfortunately had to file not only under DANGEROUS for work but also not safe for Ear to Ear, sex on the beach give the moaning a rest and finishes off this arousing assemblage of tracks with some pleasant booty house. Watch out for the sand.
